The hospital is managed by the religious nuns of the congregation of the Sisters of the Destitute, Santhome Region, Tamil Nadu under St. Joseph Province. The hospital functions under the charitable Society of the Sisters of the Destitute for Social Welfare.
Most of our patients are extremely poor and middle-class people. The bed charge is free for the General Ward patients. We are committed to providing quality healthcare with compassion, especially to the economically disadvantaged in our community.
Established in 1976, Sagayamatha Hospital has been a beacon of hope for the people of Coonoor and surrounding areas. Over the years, we have grown with the support of our congregation, dedicated medical professionals, and the community we serve.
